A site survey is critical to ensuring that all parts of the project puzzle are at hand and that the installation
meets code requirements.
After completing this module, you should be able to do the following:
- Survey conditions at a fire alarm system installation site to asses whether the conditions support the
requirements of the system layout and design.
- Compare different types of construction drawings and understand the differences.
-
Use drawings to verify that fire alarm system components meet code requirements.
-
Use information gathered during a site survey to prepare for submission of plans for approval.
